Gick upp tidigt idag igen. Igår var det ingen ström, så jag kunde inte arbeta i mitt rum. Tänkte att strömmen kanske var igång på morgonen, så larmet ringde kl 5 helt enkelt. Fick en del jobb gjort och nu sitter jag här på kontoret igen.

  Ok, so the photos. First is the dining hall. This is where I eat all my meals. The Nepali way if eating is still a bit wierd for me, but I eat “breakfast/lunch” at 10-11 every day. Then it’s daal bhaat. And dinner is served around 20.00hrs in the evening, and then it’s also daal bhaat. And as you see on the photo, daal bhaat is rice with some mixed up vegetables, a lins soup of some sort (sometimes yellow, sometimes green), some spiced up vegetable-mix and some carrots or so. Normally you should eat this with your fingers, but I still stick to the spoon. And yes, I am a bit tired of rise. But that’s the way it is. I get enough energy from this food, and as long as I do that then there is not a problem.

  And yes, the office. It’s actually Saschas office, but he gave me a seat at the desk next to the door. So that’s where I nowadays sit and write and work with my data I’ve collected. Earlier when I needed internet I sat at the computer in the office you could see that I published yesterday. But now I prefer to sit here as it’s more calm here and I can better focus on my job.

  Hade en intervju inbokad vid ACAP nu i eftermiddag, men den blev precis flyttad till i morgon förmiddag. Ska klura ut ett sätt att ta mig dit, för Sascha hade tänkt att vi skulle åkt gemensamt dit med taxi ikväll. Nåja, det fixar sig. I stället får jag tid över för att skriva mer om Sarangkot för att få den delen av texten klar så mycket som möjligt medan jag är här. Jag försöker verkligen fokusera på mitt arbete och hoppas innerligt att jag klarar av att producera så mycket som möjligt under min tid i Nepal.

  Sascha nämnde precis om att regeringen vill sätta in armén. Det bådar inte gott, men jag ska gå in på den politiska situationen här en annan gång. Den är nämligen rätt rörig och väldigt instabil. Maoist-gerillan har börjat röra på sig igen och har något “stort” på gång för den 1:a maj. Jag kan bara vänta och se vad som sker.
