Leaving Pokhara / Stupid cold

Today was my last day in moment in Pokhara. I left at 7.50 in the morning with the bus heading for Kathmandu. Once again I could see the beautiful landscape pass by my window. The hills, the rice fields, the destruction of environment, the garbage, the traffic, yes everything just passed by. And now I’m back at the same hostel/hotel where I stayed the first days of my time here in Kathmandu.

The bus makes a stop at a resort about halfway where we passengers can eat lunch. It’s a totally absurd resort, as it is in the middle of nowhere, and shows up such a nice view for you with a swimming pool. Just absurd. There is also to shorter stops along the way and during those I enjoyed the taste of fresh Mango that I had bought the other day in Pokhara. It’s something different than the Mango you can get your hands on in Sweden.

Once back here in Kathmandu I had to figure out what I had to do. I just couldn’t waste an afternoon on doing nothing, so I went next door and bought a pocket map of Kathmandu. Then I headed out to find a map store, where they have high quality maps. I might need that for the Kaski-district where I’ve been working. After I while I gave up even if I got the instructions from Jaya, and while I was walking back to the hostel a man asked if he could help me when I stopped and looked at my map. He explained the map store was just down along the road I was walking on, so I went there, and yes I found it.

Got my self 4-5 maps for the price of 850 NR’s, which is absurdly cheap in regard of what I got for those money. Anyway, a nice walk back in the not so nice traffic (pollution way to high), I rested a while in the room before going down to get some dinner.

And I’ve gotten a really irritating super-cold. Damn my nose is just totally stopped and I do hope I get rid of it soon. Can’t continue like this if I’m going to run 21 km next weekend.

So one important thing checked off from my list with things I have to do. Now it’s time for sleap. Tomorrow I’ll rest.
